FBI San Antonio searching for local involvement in Capitol riot
SAN ANTONIO – The inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden is just days away and the investigation into last week’s Capitol riot is still ongoing. The FBI is still searching for suspects involved, and some San Antonians are feeling the heat. However, other connections to rioters from San Antonio haven’t surfaced. SAN ANTONIO – The Defenders' Dillion Collier joins GMSA@9 to discuss what the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is doing to reduce the number of deputy DWI arrests. “At some point, you just gotta say ‘stop,’ draw the line in the sand, and say ‘we’re not tolerating it anymore,’” said Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar. Salazar, who has repeatedly said he would “cut them out like a cancer” after deputies run afoul of the law, contends that 2018 was the tipping point of having to address drunk-driving issues within the agency’s rank and file. Two arrested in Texas for June slaying in southern Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY Two people have been arrested in Texas for the June shooting death of a Texas man whose body was found in southern Oklahoma, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Shannon Mayorga, 20, was arrested Friday on a first-degree murder warrant, a day after Randall Rudd, 23, was arrested on the same warrant in the June slaying of Juan Manuel Rosas, 43, of Denton, Texas, the OSBI said Friday. Court and jail records do not list defense attorneys for Rudd or Mayorga, who remain jailed in Texas pending extradition, according to the OSBI. Rosas body was found June 7 in a field alongside Interstate 35 in Murray County.
