Bueckers helps UConn rout High Point 102-59 in NCAA opener

Bueckers scored 24 points โ the most by a UConn player in her first NCAA Tournament game โ and the top-seeded Huskies routed High Point 102-59 in the first round Sunday. โWe just want to continue to win for him so he can get out here with us,โ Bueckers said. Muhl injured her left ankle in the Big East Tournament opener, but returned for the Huskies' game the next night. โI think that was a little bit of improv from some of the players," High Point coach Chelsea Banbury said.
TMI boys soccer wins third consecutive TAPPS State Division II Championship
ROUND ROCK โ Twelve TMI seniors took the field at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Friday with a rare opportunity to win three straight TAPPS state titles. Viral and vital, college gymnasts finding their voice
The social justice movement in college athletics has popped up in most unusual place: gymnastics. From UCLA to Pittsburgh, Black gymnasts and the programs they represent are using their platform to empower and uplift. Her experience at Arkansas was simply reflective of the culture at large in the sport at the time. From Pittsburgh to California, female gymnasts are using their platform to empower, educate and bring light to causes they believe in. โPersonally I would say (gymnastics) is a predominantly white sport,โ Ward said.

The Celtics ruled out Jaylen Brown, Javonte Green, Semi Ojeleye, Jayson Tatum, Tristan Thompson, Grant Williams and Robert Williams. A pair of other Celtics are injured, which leaves Boston with the minimum eight players available on Sunday. Players having to miss multiple days is a very real possibility even if they were exposed to someone with the virus.
The Latest: Home teams now 65-65-1 in this pandemic season
That means that going into tonightโs Saints-Buccaneers showdown, home teams are 65-65-1 so far this season. That homefield advantage has largely been erased with sparse crowds or no fans at games because of the coronavirus pandemic. Las Vegas though has taken control on its first two drives of the second half. Neither had started an NFL game, but both have been in the league much longer than DiNucci. The Tennessee Titans already lost left tackle Taylor Lewan for the season, and now they are without left guard Rodger Saffold.

The Latest on the effects of the coronavirus outbreak on sports around the world:___Californiaโs menโs basketball team is pausing workouts after an unidentified player tested positive for COVID-19. ___The NFL and its players' union say eight players and 11 other personnel tested positive in the latest round of screening for COVID-19. Coach Dan Mullen, at least two assistants and more than two dozen players tested positive following a road trip to Texas A&M earlier this month. FIU has seen more than 30 players miss time this season because of positive coronavirus tests or a need to quarantine after potential exposure. Last Sundayโs game between Lens and Nantes was postponed after 11 Lens players and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

Pitt: Even with teams from conferences currently not playing being allowed into the polls this week, expect the Panthers to at least stay at 21 or perhaps even rise a bit.

BGC Preview 2018: O'Connor vs Steele
The Big Game in our Big Game Coverage to kick off the 2018 high school football season will feature two top 5 teams in 12โs top 12 and a rematch from last season that wasnโt decided until the final seconds. Last year, the game was played in week 3 of the high school football season, which left OโConnor 3-0 and Steele at 1-2. โYou know, itโs going to be a great test for us for our first game of the year, โ said David Saenz, Steele head coach. โWithout a doubt, I still get butterflies just like when I was playing 20 plus years ago," he said. Kick off Friday night is set for 7:30 p.m. and it should be standing room only.
