Same pipe burst, same home development; several residents impacted during winter storm crisis
SAN ANTONIO โ Residents living in the Highland Homes Development in San Antonio are holding the development accountable after several experienced the same pipe burst in the same location of their homes during the winter crisis. KSAT received emails and complaints from several Highland Homes residents in the Belterra neighborhood, Valencia Hills and Johnson Ranch. San Antonio โ A couple is wishing the best for the man responsible for destroying their home with his pickup truck Saturday morning. โWe came back from the clinic and our neighbor was calling me out for some reason,โ Fonseca said. SAN ANTONIO โ A Cibolo police sergeant who lost everything to a house fire Sunday is hoping his story encourages others to appreciate how valuable their family is. We have an outpouring from loved ones, family, extended family, my blue line family. โYou go through life and you just donโt know,โ Soto said. โAsk yourself, what your priorities are in life,โ Soto said. NWS: Tornado touched down near La Vernia on Sunday
After a survey, The National Weather Service in New Braunfels has determined that damage in Wilson County was the result of a tornado. According to the National Weather Service, the tornado touched down along Highway 87 around 5:10 Sunday morning, 2 miles northwest of Sutherland Springs. Damage patterns revealed the tornado to be a weak EF0, with winds up to 70 mph. Wilson County tornado trackThe tornado developed within an outer band of Hurricane Hanna. Two other confirmed tornadoes were reported after Hurricane Hanna made landfall on Saturday in South Texas.
