SAN ANTONIO – A crash has closed southbound Interstate 37 just south of Pleasanton, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash was reported Wednesday afternoon. Drivers are being detoured at SP 199 and reenter the main lanes at FM 541, TxDOT said in a 12:45 p.m. X post.
Atascosa County Deputy Chief Eric Kaiser told KSAT a man on the shoulder of the highway was changing a flat tire when a passing vehicle hit him. Kaiser directed KSAT to the Texas Department of Public Safety for more information.
Closure expected for several hours. Drivers should expect possible delays and seek alternate routes, if possible.
