Movie theaters offer discounts, freebies for National Popcorn Day on Tuesday around San Antonio
What better way to kick off the new year than with a free bag of movie theater popcorn? You can treat yourself to some free popcorn at all EVO Entertainment theaters in Central Texas on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in honor of National Popcorn Day. You won’t even need to purchase a movie ticket to get the free popcorn, according to a release from EVO Entertainment. There are a few EVO Entertainment theaters fairly close to San Antonio, including locations in Schertz, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and more. Santikos theaters are also offering a promotion in honor of National Popcorn Day with discounted bags of popcorn.
10-acre paintball and airsoft park in Schertz gets opening date
SCHERTZ, Texas – A new 10-acre paintball and airsoft park is the socially-distant entertainment 2020 needs. EVO Entertainment in Schertz is opening the new park and it sounds pretty awesome with five courses and two play environments. “Phase One access is available for open play every day starting Sunday, November 22nd through November 29th. “With the limitations, we continue to face during the pandemic, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to get creative and offer something we’ve never done before,” EVO Entertainment Group CEO Mitch Roberts said. EVO Entertainment will implement standard health and wellness checks and equipment will be thoroughly sanitized after each use.

EVO Entertainment is selling mangonada margaritas for a limited time
Texas – Just because Fiesta was canceled for 2020 doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate in your own way. The EVO Entertainment locations in Schertz and New Braunfels are selling frozen mangonada margaritas for a limited time. The frozen drinks will be available for $9 and every purchase comes with a free EVO 2020 Fiesta medal. Medals will be limited to one-per-guest, according to an EVO spokesperson. EVO Entertainment Schertz is located at 18658 I-35 and EVO Entertainment Creekside is located at 214 Creekside Way in New Braunfels.
Iconic 80s actor Anthony Michael Hall to host drive-in film festival in Schertz
SAN ANTONIO Popular 80s actor Anthony Michael Hall is set to host a series of drive-in movie screenings in Schertz over the next month. EVO Entertainment announced Anthony Michael Halls Summer Drive-In Film Festival will be held over four weekends in July and early August. The film festival will showcase some of the actors classic films such as The Breakfast Club, Weird Science and 16 Candles. Special guests include actress Kelly LeBrock and actor James Jude Courtney. Santikos, EVO Entertainment giving out free movie tickets every week
SAN ANTONIO – Rewards members for Santikos and EVO Entertainment have a new perk: free movie tickets. San Antonio-based Santikos has announced that it will load two free movie tickets into the accounts of reward members every Thursday. EVO Entertainment also announced a similar deal, except with four free tickets. Anthony Michael Hall, an 80s movie staple, will attend a special showing of “The Breakfast Club” at EVO Entertainment Schertz on Thursday. The actor, known for many movie roles including “Sixteen Candles,” “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” and “Weird Science,” will offer an Q&A after Thursday’s 6:30 p.m. showing of “The Breakfast Club.”Tickets cost between $49 and $99 and can be purchased online. On Friday, Hall will give an in-person introduction to two showings of his films at Flix Brewhouse in Round Rock. “Sixteen Candles” will play at 6 p.m. followed by “Weird Science” at 9 p.m.
