Movie theaters offer discounts, freebies for National Popcorn Day on Tuesday around San Antonio
What better way to kick off the new year than with a free bag of movie theater popcorn? You can treat yourself to some free popcorn at all EVO Entertainment theaters in Central Texas on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in honor of National Popcorn Day. You wonโt even need to purchase a movie ticket to get the free popcorn, according to a release from EVO Entertainment. There are a few EVO Entertainment theaters fairly close to San Antonio, including locations in Schertz, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and more. Santikos theaters are also offering a promotion in honor of National Popcorn Day with discounted bags of popcorn.

EVO Entertainment is selling mangonada margaritas for a limited time
Texas โ Just because Fiesta was canceled for 2020 doesnโt mean you canโt still celebrate in your own way. The EVO Entertainment locations in Schertz and New Braunfels are selling frozen mangonada margaritas for a limited time. The frozen drinks will be available for $9 and every purchase comes with a free EVO 2020 Fiesta medal. Medals will be limited to one-per-guest, according to an EVO spokesperson. EVO Entertainment Schertz is located at 18658 I-35 and EVO Entertainment Creekside is located at 214 Creekside Way in New Braunfels.
Iconic 80s actor Anthony Michael Hall to host drive-in film festival in Schertz
SAN ANTONIO Popular 80s actor Anthony Michael Hall is set to host a series of drive-in movie screenings in Schertz over the next month. EVO Entertainment announced Anthony Michael Halls Summer Drive-In Film Festival will be held over four weekends in July and early August. The film festival will showcase some of the actors classic films such as The Breakfast Club, Weird Science and 16 Candles. Special guests include actress Kelly LeBrock and actor James Jude Courtney. Anthony Michael Hall, an 80s movie staple, will attend a special showing of โThe Breakfast Clubโ at EVO Entertainment Schertz on Thursday. The actor, known for many movie roles including โSixteen Candles,โ โNational Lampoonโs Vacation,โ and โWeird Science,โ will offer an Q&A after Thursdayโs 6:30 p.m. showing of โThe Breakfast Club.โTickets cost between $49 and $99 and can be purchased online. On Friday, Hall will give an in-person introduction to two showings of his films at Flix Brewhouse in Round Rock. โSixteen Candlesโ will play at 6 p.m. followed by โWeird Scienceโ at 9 p.m.
