Man who skipped murder trial last year arrested in Mexico, extradited to Bexar County, DAโs office says
Investigators with the Bexar County District Attorneyโs Office assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force have located and extradited a man charged with murder to Bexar County, according to the DAโs office.
Kansas City murder suspect arrested in San Antonio
A man from Kansas City was arrested in San Antonio by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on five outstanding warrants, one of which included first degree murder, according to U.S. Authorities in Kansas City said they learned Meza fled to San Antonio. On Thursday, authorities in San Antonio said they were able to locate Meza at an address in the city and authorities were able to arrest him without an incident. Meza is being held in custody at the Bexar County Jail while awaiting extradition to Kansas City, according to authorities. โOur task force officers responded without delay and apprehended this suspect quickly, but more importantly, safely.โ
Inmate captured in San Antonio after escaping prison, being on the run for over a month
SAN ANTONIO โ A man who escaped from the Federal Correctional Institution in Three Rivers more than a month ago was captured Monday in San Antonio, officials with the United States Marshals Service said. Fidel Lawrence Rodriguez, who was serving a 10-year sentence on charges of possession with intent to sell, was discovered missing after an unannounced inmate count was conducted, U.S. Department of Justice officials said. Rodriguez was found at a motel in the 100 block of Kenley Place in San Antonio, where he was arrested and found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, cocaine and methamphetamines, officials said. โOur deputies and task force officers continue to face unforeseen dangers and put their lives on the line to serve justice, even during a time such as this.โThe Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and San Antonio Police Departmentโs High Intensity Drug Traffic Areas unit were credited with the capture. No other details on the capture were immediately released.
Man wanted on child sex crimes could be in Northeast SA

Man arrested for allegedly robbing San Antonio pawn shop, police say
WACO โ A man wanted by the San Antonio Police Department was arrested in Waco on Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Authorities took into custody 27-year-old Pierson Hannah for his alleged involvement in a San Antonio pawn shop robbery. Hannah allegedly robbed a pawn shop at gunpoint and fled with cash and jewelry, police said. Hannah fled to Waco and was arrested at an apartment in the 1900 block of 9th Street without incident, authorities said.

Timothy Lott, 49, was convicted in 2003 of aggravated sexual assault. SAN ANTONIO โ The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is searching for Rogelio Rojas Jaramillo Jr. for failing to comply with sex offender registration conditions. โIn December of last year, a warrant was issued for Jaramilloโs arrest following an indictment filed with the Bexar County 187th District Court," said Deputy U.S. In July 2012, Jaramillo, 27, was convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. He is also required to report a change of address with law enforcement for the rest of his life. Accused killer accepts 11th hour plea agreement
Smith, who was critically wounded during the shootout, was in court Tuesday morning. He was charged with capital murder in Ruben Sanchezโs slaying and aggravated assault on a public servant in connection with the shootout. Smith was wanted for killing Sanchez a month earlier while he was allegedly trying to steal the victim's car. As jury selection was about to begin, Smith opted to plead guilty to the assault charge and to a reduced charge of murder in Sanchez's murder in what is called an "open plea." โIn each case, Iโm going to order a pre-sentencing report and we will come back at another day for sentencing,โ Moore told Smith.

Ruben Rodriguez, 46, was accused of the attack on the girl, who was under the age of 16 in Jan. 2014. "Rodriguez is a known sexual predator and we definitely don't want this to happen again," said Bozeman. Rodriguez was last known to live on the Northwest side of San Antonio.
