A man is facing charges after he allegedly ran down an off-duty Von Ormy police officer who was working security at a local bar. Police say the officer was trying to question the man's girlfriend about an assault on a bar worker.
Officials: Driver facing possible intoxication assault charges after overnight high-speed crash
SAN ANTONIO โ A driver is facing possible charges of intoxication assault after San Antonio police say he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree at a high rate of speed overnight. The crash happened around 1:48 a.m., Saturday, in the 16500 block of Henderson Pass. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to Central Baptist Hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver is facing possible charges of intoxication assault and police say he is under the suspicion of alcohol. Man killed in shooting on northeast side of San Antonio identified
SAN ANTONIO โ A man killed in a shooting on the cityโs Northeast Side has been identified, the Bexar County Medical Examinerโs Office reported. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Jeremy Davidson. Police said Davidson and another man were shot in the 15000 block of Toepperwein. Woman killed in NE Side house fire identified
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS โ Updated Friday at 12:03 p.m.:The victim was identified as Sasha Dawn Byler, 46. Original story:A gas leak may have fueled a massive fire that destroyed a Northeast Side home early Wednesday morning and left one person dead. Neighbors told firefighters that the owners of the home no longer lived there. Woodward said although the utilities had been shut off, there was a gas leak for some reason. โAccording to those close to the victim, they had recently reported that there was a gas leak in the house and, unfortunately, this individual did not report that gas leak to CPS (Energy),โ he said.
