Federal court documents say the a man who admitted to purchasing firearms that he knew would be going from the U.S. to a Mexican drug cartel was arrested in Texas after the discovery that one of the weapons was linked to the deadly kidnapping of four Americans in the border city of Matamoros.

Universal City teen brutally beaten and kidnapped, police say
UNIVERSAL CITY – A man has been arrested after a brutal kidnapping at an apartment complex in Universal City left a teen traumatized and neighbors too afraid to speak. The incident happened at The Colony apartment complex, located in the 300 block of Kitty Hawk Road, around 4 p.m., Feb. 25. After taking the teen to the upstairs unit, police said the suspect took a pair of pants to restrain him and robbed him of his belongings. Before freeing the teen, officials said the suspect also went through the teen’s pockets and took his apartment keys. San Antonio police investigating possible kidnapping on Southwest Side
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police officers are investigating a possible kidnapping that allegedly happened overnight on the Southwest Side. Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. Friday to the 5900 block of Fairgreen Street for a report of a missing person. A person told officers that a 28-year-old woman was missing from the location. Police said the possible suspect, or suspects, communicated with the person who made the report. Officers are investigating whether the 28-year-old woman, who has not been identified, was taken against her will.
Missing San Antonio teen found safe in Washington state; man arrested for kidnapping
