โEveryone thinks itโs such a big deal but itโs just dyslexia,โ Addison said. โBeautiful Minds -- Dyslexia and the Creative Advantageโ was created by the Oklahoma Science Center. Connie Shafer, Addisonโs mom, is a reading specialist who works with dyslexic students at Northside ISD. AdDozens of dyslexic students in the area also got to submit artwork for the traveling exhibit. โBeautiful Minds - Dyslexia and the Creative Advantageโ will be at the DoSeum until March 28th.

The exhibit โBeautiful Minds โ Dyslexia and the Creative Advantageโ first opened last fall and will be open through March 28. However, the museum will be adding artwork by students with dyslexia and a newly-installed resource center, according to a release. The center will feature โlearning elements to inspire all minds to play, but especially for students diagnosed with dyslexia,โ museum officials said in a statement. โDyslexia and the Creative Advantage has already been enjoyed by over 16,000 visitors. SAN ANTONIO โ The DoSeum, San Antonioโs childrenโs museum, has announced a new exhibit and an online lecture that will take place next week to help raise awareness and celebrate childrenโs learning differences. The two events are designed to encourage the community to reflect on attitudes and assumptions about individuals who learn differently and inspire an inclusive society. An oversized tile spelling game, color block puzzles, and digital interactive educational games also offer unique learning opportunities for all ages. โThe exhibitโs appeal spans communities from learners, caregivers and educators," said Dan Menelly, CEO of The DoSeum. โAs a mother to three children, I understand that every child learns differently," said Sara Pfeifer, vice-president of development for The DoSeum.
The DoSeum reopening to the public with added safety measures
San Antonio San Antonios popular childrens museum will welcome guests back this Friday, but the experience will be different than before the COVID-19 pandemic because of new safety protocols the museum has instituted. For starters, every person will receive a temperature check upon entry, and guests 10 years and older will be required to wear a face covering. Visitors are now required to purchase tickets online, and all visits are broken up into 2-hour timed sessions. Spurs team up with DoSeum to unveil new interactive exhibit for kids
SAN ANTONIO โ Spurs Give and the DoSeum have teamed up to create a new interactive exhibit for children. The Spurs-themed exhibit is called the โPully Up Jumper.โIt was unveiled Thursday with the help of the Spurs Coyote, former Spurs great Sean Elliott and 350 students from surrounding schools. Spurs Sports & Entertainment Chairman Peter J. Holt, board of managers for SS&E Corinna Holt Richter and DoSeum CEO Dan Menelly were also in attendance and spoke at the unveiling. โI am delighted to see the DoSeumโs work is being recognized and supported by this generous gift from Spurs Give. The exhibit is permanent and will be the first stop guests encounter at the DoSeum.

What's in store for the next 300 years of San Antonio? At the DoSeum's Dream Tomorrow Today exhibit, children have the chance to dream up the inventions and city planning that will make a difference over the next three centuries. "I think everyone likes envisioning what San Antonio can be in 300 years," said Drew Henry, the DoSeum's social media coordinator. "Kids can scan their drawings in and then have them projected on the wall," Henry said. The Dream Tomorrow Today exhibit debuted on June 2 and will run through Jan. 6, 2019.
