Democrats nine seats away from the majority in the Texas House. A coalition of groups working to flip the Texas House is unveiling a $1.1 million digital ad campaign backing 11 candidates. The members of the coalition include the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, the group led by former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, and the Texas House Democratic Campaign Committee. Analysis: In close elections, two opponents can be better than one
The all-Republican court rejected a Republican effort to erase 44 Libertarian candidates from the ballot. The theory operating here is that Libertarian candidates siphon more votes from Republicans than from Democrats.
