SAN ANTONIO โ A convicted murderer who escaped from a South Texas prison nearly 11 years ago has been added to the U.S. Marshalsโ โ15 Most Wanted Fugitivesโ list. Authorities are still searching for Jose Bustos-Diaz, 32, and are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information directly leading to his capture. The U.S. Marshalsโ Office said the man is still a โsignificantโ threat after escaping the TDCJ Briscoe Unit in Dilley on April 6, 2010. Bustos-Diaz escaped with fellow inmate Octavio Ramos-Lopez after they cut a hole in a fence. Oklahoma City alleged child sex offender arrested in Texas
An Oklahoma City man who allegedly filmed himself sexually abusing a baby and distributing the video via social media was arrested in Texas, according to U.S. Authorities said 22-year-old Brice Gage Watkins was taken into custody on Thursday. Watkins was charged in August with one felony count of distribution of child pornography and additional charges of manufacturing child pornography and three counts of lewd acts with a child under 12. Kansas City murder suspect arrested in San Antonio
A man from Kansas City was arrested in San Antonio by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on five outstanding warrants, one of which included first degree murder, according to U.S. Authorities in Kansas City said they learned Meza fled to San Antonio. On Thursday, authorities in San Antonio said they were able to locate Meza at an address in the city and authorities were able to arrest him without an incident. Meza is being held in custody at the Bexar County Jail while awaiting extradition to Kansas City, according to authorities. โOur task force officers responded without delay and apprehended this suspect quickly, but more importantly, safely.โ
U.S. Marshals: 8 highly endangered children in Indianapolis area recovered
Marshals Service and other agency partners were able to recover eight highly endangered children throughout the Indianapolis area in an operation dubbed Homecoming.From Aug. 31- Sept. 4, federal investigators, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children worked to recover eight children deemed highly endangered by the agency. According to a press release by the agency, the children were considered the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area. The agency said the recovered children were turned over to the Indiana Department of Child Services for victim assistance and placement. The Marshals are committed to assisting state and local agencies with locating and recovering endangered missing children to help prevent their falling victim to crimes of violence and exploitation, McClain said. Convicted sex offender hasn't registered address with police in nearly 6 years, records show
SAN ANTONIO โ A convicted sex offender required to register his address with local law enforcement authorities has not done so in nearly six years, records show. David Frank Rodriguez, 34, is wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration conditions. He told San Antonio police he lived in the city in July 2012 but has not registered his address since then. The state's sex offender registry site lists Rodriguez as "absconded." He was required to register as a sex offender for life after being sentenced to probation in December 2009 for sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
Fugitive with ties to Northwest SA wanted since Jan. 2014
Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public's help to find a man accused of a sex crime on a teenage girl. Ruben Rodriguez, 46, was accused of the attack on the girl, who was under the age of 16 in Jan. 2014. "Rodriguez is a known sexual predator and we definitely don't want this to happen again," said Bozeman. Rodriguez was last known to live on the Northwest side of San Antonio.
