Man trying to cross South Side street hit by car, police say
SAN ANTONIO โ A man in his 40s was taken to an area hospital after being being hit by a car late Thursday night, San Antonio police said. The crash happened around 11 p.m. in the 4900 block of South Flores Street, not far from Division Avenue and Pleasanton Road on the cityโs South Side. According to police, the man was trying to cross a street after leaving a bar to get tacos when he was struck by a blue sedan. The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all answered the call. The name of the man hit was not released.
Police investigating death of teen mysteriously dropped off at downtown hospital
SAN ANTONIO โ San Antonio police are investigating the shooting death of a teenage boy who was dropped off at a downtown hospital. They say the person who drove the 17-year-old to Childrenโs Hospital of San Antonio around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday quickly left. Officers later determined the shooting happened on the South side of town, in the 3000 block of S. Flores. Police say the teen had suffered a gunshot wound to his head. As of early Thursday morning, police had not released the name of the teen who was killed.
