MIAMI – A new mix of drugs called "Gray Death" has authorities worried about an upcoming crisis.
ABC News reports the drug is a mixture of heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil and a synthetic opioid called U-47700. Its potency is higher than heroin and even touching the cement mix-like powder can put users at risk.

Carfentanil is a drug often used to tranquilize elephants.
Still in its early availability, gray death has been the cause of multiple overdoses throughout the Southeast and Midwest, and its affects are alarming.
"Gray death is one of the scariest combinations that I have ever seen in nearly 20 years of forensic chemistry drug analysis," Deneen Kilcrease of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation told ABC.
On its own, U-47700 is considered to be among the most dangerous drugs monitored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has already received 50 overdose calls in the last three months, with most stemming from gray death.
