Young entrepreneurs show off businesses at South Park Mall

Kids, Inc. Facebook contest winners set up shop

SAN ANTONIO – A group of young entrepreneurs gathered Saturday at South Park Mall to show off their creative business ideas.

The winners of the mall's Kids, Inc. Facebook contest set up shop inside the mall.

The winning kids were chosen by a public vote after submitting their ideas.

Nine-year-old Nevaeh Garza, whose rubber band bracelets and necklaces were a hit online, won first place.

"The Internet has got more stuff to do," said Nevaeh, when asked if she had any advice for kids wanting to create things of their own.

She also had a few ideas for the money she made from her sales.

"No, maybe buy some toys," she said, when asked if she had plans to put the money toward a college education.

The children were able to keep all the money they made during Saturday's showcase.
