SAN ANTONIO – There are many misconceptions about dyslexia, and one documentary is aiming to clear the air.
Embracing Dyslexia is a documentary that focuses on understanding dyslexia and the importance of early detection in children.
“The director, Luis Macias, is the parent of a child with dyslexia," said Rafael Scarnati, Executive Producer of Embracing Dyslexia. "He went out to interview experts of dyslexia and other parents of children with dyslexia to talk about their stories."
Learning Foundations is hosting a free screening of the documentary on Tuesday, October 11, at the Stone Oak Alamo Drafthouse.
The screening will start at 6:30 PM and is open to everyone.
After the screening, a panel of experts on dyslexia will be answering questions from the audience.
