How to fix a slow draining tub

One of the most common plumbing issues is a slow draining bathtub.

Usually, the drain gets backed up because there is hair and debris slowing down the water. An easy way to clear the blockage is a pair of needle nose pliers.

If there is a tub stopper in the drain you may have to remove it before trying to clear the blockage.

To prevent blockage – or a complete clogging of the drain – it's a good idea clear debris from the drain on a regular basis.
