Why your job title, education may affect your cost of auto insurance
SAN ANTONIO โ How much you pay for car insurance often involves a lot more than just your driving record, a new Consumer Reports investigation found. The investigation found evidence that a personโs job title or education level may mean paying higher premium. โThe amount that insurers charge should be based on your risk as a driver,โ said Chuck Bell of Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports advises drivers to seek multiple quotes from different insurance companies to be sure theyโre not overpaying. To see Consumer Reportsโ full report, click here.
USAA will return more money to policyholders due to fewer drivers on the road
SAN ANTONIO โ USAA is returning an additional $280 million dividend to auto insurance policyholders based on fewer drivers on the road. This is similar to last month where more than a $500 million dividend was given to members as a 20% credit for two months worth of premiums. This additional credit will reflect 20% of the third monthโs worth of premiums. All auto policyholders in effect as of April 30th will receive the credit.
