SAN ANTONIO โ A convicted murderer who escaped from a South Texas prison nearly 11 years ago has been added to the U.S. Marshalsโ โ15 Most Wanted Fugitivesโ list. Authorities are still searching for Jose Bustos-Diaz, 32, and are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information directly leading to his capture. The U.S. Marshalsโ Office said the man is still a โsignificantโ threat after escaping the TDCJ Briscoe Unit in Dilley on April 6, 2010. Bustos-Diaz escaped with fellow inmate Octavio Ramos-Lopez after they cut a hole in a fence. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the agency by calling 1-877-WANTED-2 or by visiting its website.
U.S. Marshals: 8 highly endangered children in Indianapolis area recovered
Marshals Service and other agency partners were able to recover eight highly endangered children throughout the Indianapolis area in an operation dubbed Homecoming.From Aug. 31- Sept. 4, federal investigators, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children worked to recover eight children deemed highly endangered by the agency. According to a press release by the agency, the children were considered the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area. The agency said the recovered children were turned over to the Indiana Department of Child Services for victim assistance and placement. The Marshals are committed to assisting state and local agencies with locating and recovering endangered missing children to help prevent their falling victim to crimes of violence and exploitation, McClain said. ATLANTA, Georgia โ Nearly 40 missing or endangered children have been rescued by federal and state agents during a law enforcement operation in Georgia, authorities say. Marshals Service announced Thursday that 13 missing children were found and an additional 26 endangered children were rescued during the two-week operation centered on Atlanta and a city to its south, Macon. Nine people were arrested on charges including sex trafficking, parental kidnapping and custodial interference, as well as registered sex offender and weapons violations. But that sense of accomplishment is nothing compared to finding a missing child,โ said Darby Kirby, chief of the Missing Child Unit. One in 6 of the endangered runaways is likely to become the victim of sex trafficking, authorities said.
US Marshals put Fyre Festival merchandise up for auction
NEW YORK More than three years after the highly publicized Fyre Festival famously fizzled out in the Bahamas, merchandise and other minor assets are up for sale courtesy of the U.S. Marshals Service. Marshals announced that 126 items from the festival will be auctioned off, with proceeds going toward the victims of Billy McFarland. McFarland acknowledged defrauding investors of $26 million in the 2017 Fyre Festival and over $100,000 in a fraudulent ticket-selling scheme after his arrest in the scam. US agents to pull back in Portland but will stay on standby

Man arrested for allegedly robbing San Antonio pawn shop, police say
WACO โ A man wanted by the San Antonio Police Department was arrested in Waco on Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Authorities took into custody 27-year-old Pierson Hannah for his alleged involvement in a San Antonio pawn shop robbery. Hannah allegedly robbed a pawn shop at gunpoint and fled with cash and jewelry, police said. Hannah fled to Waco and was arrested at an apartment in the 1900 block of 9th Street without incident, authorities said.
