A Bexar County Sheriff's deputy suspected of driving drunk has been arrested.
Deputy Richard Ruthenberg, 44, was pulled over by San Antonio police just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
It's not clear why police stopped him, but they later discovered he was drinking and driving and arrested him on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
A Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said Ruthenberg had been on leave for some time.
The spokesperson said the office is investigating the incident and will take appropriate action once the investigation is completed.
