2 injured in violent stabbing on Spear Street

Man, woman stabbed in west San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – A violent attack on the West Side ended with two people in the hospital.

San Antonio police said a man in his 60s and a woman in her 40s were walking along Spear Street when they passed by a parked car around 1 a.m. Sunday.

A neighbor thought the couple was trying to break into the vehicle and began to chase them, police said.

The man caught up with them at a nearby home and stabbed them.

The male victim was stabbed in the chest and arm, and the woman was stabbed in the arms and legs, police said.

Both victims were taken to University Hospital in critical condition while the suspect fled the scene.

Police had not announced any arrests in the case as of 7 a.m.
