Unwelcome guest stabs man in neck on East Side

Man stabbed by visitor at home on Utah Street

SAN ANTONIO – A man was stabbed at his East Side home by someone who he claims was an unwelcome guest, San Antonio police said.

The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Utah Street.

San Antonio police said the suspect went to the home and exchanged words with a man who lives there.

Their argument turned physical and the visitor pulled out a knife, then stabbed the other man in the back of the neck.

Police responded and said the victim had lost a lot of blood, but was responsive.

He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment, and was expected to survive.

The suspect fled the scene, but police said they have identified him. Police had not announced an arrest in the case as of 7 a.m.
