SAN ANTONIO – A man shot and killed himself in a police standoff late Sunday night on the city's Northwest Side.
Police responded to the Fiesta Inn and Suites off Loop 410 and John Williams at 11 p.m. for a domestic disturbance.
A woman told police her boyfriend was beating her.
When officers arrived, the man locked himself inside the room, police said.
A SWAT team was dispatched to the scene.
Three hours into the standoff, officers went into the room and found the man with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
