Man robs Wells Fargo in New Braunfels

Bank branch located inside Walmart on I-35

SAN ANTONIO – A man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank inside a Walmart on Saturday might also be responsible for at least three other similar robberies, New Braunfels police said.

Police said the man walked into the bank branch at 1209 Interstate 35 around 2:45 p.m and demanded money from a teller.

After the teller gave him money, the man left the store, got into a two-door gray Nissan Altima coupe and drove north on the interstate frontage road.

Police said the man might be the same person who held up Wells Fargo bank branches at Walmart locations on the I-35 corridor in San Antonio, San Marcos and Austin.

The man is African American, about 6 feet 3 inches tall with a goatee. He was wearing a white baseball jersey-style shirt with gray sleeves with the green and purple logo "Just Do It" printed on the front. He was also wearing blue jeans and white athletic shoes with black soles.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call NBPD at 830-221-4122.
