Police seek men in connection with theft and aggravated assault

Suspects hit up two Spec's Liquor stores Saturday night

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The New Braunfels Police Department is looking for two men in connection to a theft at a Spec’s store at 200 Creekside Crossing on the north side of town, and an aggravated assault moments later at another Spec’s location.

The initial theft occurred just after 7 p.m. Saturday. Police say two men walked in and stole $575 worth of alcohol. Employees noticed the men drive off in a champagne-colored four-door Honda Civic. Those employees also called other stores detailing the events and the thieves’ description.

Approximately 15 minutes later the same two suspects entered another Spec’s location at 1600 Interstate-35 south. Employees told them to leave, and followed them outside where they got into a similar-colored Civic. The men then pulled out a gun and told the associates to stop following them.

The men were caught on camera. They are described as tall, thin, black men, possibly in their late 20s or early 30s. One man wore a great knitted beanie hat, red shirt, grey hoodie and black pants. The other man was seen wearing all black (clothing: shirt, pants, jacket and shoes).
