SAPD arrest man attempting to sell stolen truck

Suspect took two passengers on test drive; police pulled vehicle over

SAN ANTONIO – A man is in custody after attempting to sell a stolen vehicle overnight, San Antonio police said Tuesday.

The incident took place around midnight on Loop 410 near Airport Boulevard on the city's North Side.

San Antonio police said an officer was randomly checking plates when a truck reported back as stolen.

The officer stopped the vehicle and that's when police found out the driver was trying to trade the truck to two passengers riding inside for simple merchandise.

The driver was taken into custody.

The passengers are not being charged in connection with the theft.
