Frontier Airlines returns to San Antonio

Nonstop flights to four major U.S. cities coming in May

SAN ANTONIO – Frontier Airlines announced its return to San Antonio Tuesday.

The airline will offer nonstop service between San Antonio International Airport and Denver, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Philadelphia beginning in May.

"The increased service to four key destinations reinforces San Antonio's ability to attract new businesses and tourism," San Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor said.

"We're excited to bring Low Fares Done Right to San Antonio," Frontier Airlines vice president of consumer experience Debbie Price said. "We look forward to welcoming these new flyers soon."

Introductory fares starting as low as $19 one-way are now available at FlyFrontier.com.

Customers may choose to purchase their flight in a bundle called "The Works", which has special sales fares as low as $122 one-way. The bundle includes one carry-on bag, one checked bag, the best available seat, priority boarding, no change fees and a full refund if the flight is canceled 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

San Antonio is one of 14 new markets announced by Frontier Tuesday in addition to 42 new markets announced last week.
