SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating a shooting Friday morning in the parking lot of a day care center on the city's Northeast Side.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Kids R Fun Daycare & Learning Center in the 8000 block of Midcrown Drive.
Police said no injuries were reported. The day care was placed on a brief lockdown.
Eight to 10 shots were fired at someone who was at a convenience store across the street, police said.
One of the bullets pierced an apartment across the street, police said.
A car believed to be involved in the shooting left the scene and about 10 people ran to the apartment complex, police said.
No arrests have been made.
