Police looking for driver responsible for hit-and-run

Incident occurred in 100 block of W. Broadview Dr

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a hit-and-run accident on the city's Northwest Side.

The accident occurred April 3 in the 100 block of West Broadview Drive.

According to police, John Sanchez, 20, was walking on the sidewalk with his father when a white minivan drove up onto the sidewalk and struck him.

Sanchez was thrown a short distance into the concrete injuring his face, hands, arms, and body, police said. 

Police said the driver of the minivan did not stop and then fled southbound on W. Broadview.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
