Investigators on Thursday revealed for the first time what appears to be the motive for the slaying of Conrad Kuntz.

A New Braunfels Police news release said Kuntz and three teenagers met around 10 p.m. on Saturday in the 1500 block of Lahn Road, where a 16-year-old boy attempted a robbery that led to an altercation.

During the altercation, a 15-year-old boy shot Kuntz with a handgun, police said.
