Bexar County deputies search for 17-year-old last seen in June

Jon Zarzosa last seen by family on morning of June 8

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a teenage boy who was last seen by his family in June.

Jon Zarzosa, 17, left home on his own accord between the hours of 6:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on June 8.

The Sheriff's Office said Zarzosa's father last saw him when he was leaving for work at 6:15 a.m. He saw Zarzosa sleeping on the couch.

One of Zarzosa's siblings called their father about 11:30 a.m. and told him that Zarzosa was nowhere to be found, the Sheriff's Office said.

When Zarzosa's father returned home, he found Zarzosa had left a note saying he was going for a run. The Sheriff's Office said Zarzosa did the same thing in December 2016 and was gone for a week before returning home.

This is the longest Zarzosa has ever been missing and the family is very concerned, the Sheriff's Office said.

Zarzosa is known to frequent the Five Palms area. The Sheriff's Office said Zarzosa attended Southside Alternative School, where he may have met acquaintances who could be harboring him.

Zarzosa is described as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information or who has seen Zarzosa or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Deputy Willborn in the missing persons unit at 210-335-6078 or the Bexar County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 210-335-TIPS (8477).
