Castillo was convicted of the December 2003 murder of 19-year-old Tommy Garcia Jr.

Castillo used his girlfriend to lure Garcia and rob him and then shot him.

The girlfriend pleaded guilty before Castillo’s 2005 trial and testified against him.

Castillo was scheduled to be executed Sept. 7. His legal team is in Houston, and they're dealing with catastrophic flooding, so the date was pushed back.
