Crash ends in yard at Summer Fest, Sunrise Creek

SAN ANTONIO – Two 19-year-old men were arrested Tuesday afternoon following a chase that ended in the yard of a home on the city's East Side.

Police said police tried to make a routine traffic stop around 4:45 p.m. near Interstate 35 and Walters when the driver refused to stop.

The car was followed by a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter, DPS troopers and Bexar County sheriff's deputies. San Antonio police opted not to get involved in the chase as per department policy.

Police found marijuana in the car, officials said.

The men were arrested and will be charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana, police said.
