Gabriel Ybarra, 22, was shot at Villa Coronado Park

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man shot and killed at a park on the city's South Side overnight.

Gabriel Ybarra, 22, died after being shot in the head just before midnight Monday at the Villa Coronado Park, located in the 10100 block of Ruidosa Street. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said they believe Ybarra had been arguing with someone right before being shot. The shooter then fled on foot, police said.
