North Side home damaged by suspected drunk driver twice in one week

Driver in custody on suspicion of DWI, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio woman was taken into police custody Friday night after crashing into a North Side home, police said.

Police said they suspect that the woman was intoxicated and speeding down Republic Drive when she ran a stop sign, jumped a curb and crashed her vehicle into a home in the 400 block of Rexford Drive.

No one inside the house was injured. Police said this was the second time a vehicle had crashed into this home in the last week. There is no word on exactly how much damaged was caused.
