Woman accused of sexually assaulting 4-year-old boy she was babysitting, police say

SAN ANTONIO – An 18-year-old woman is accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy she was babysitting, officials said.

Esmeralda Marie Medellin was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child Thursday. The incident happened in March, authorities said.

An arrest affidavit said the boy cried out to his mother. The mother called police while Medellin was still inside her home.

Police said DNA evidence proved Medellin assaulted the young boy.
