Judge orders Manziel to stay away from ex-girlfriend
Manziel makes first court appearance since being indicted
DALLAS – A judge on Thursday ordered Johnny Manziel to stay away from his ex-girlfriend.
Manziel made his first court appearance since the former Kerrville Tivy and Texas A&M University star was indicted on a single misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
The judge also told Manziel that he can't possess a firearm.
The Heisman Trophy winner and former Texas A&M star was indicted by a grand jury last month after his ex-girlfriend alleged he hit her and threatened to kill her during a night out in January.
Manziel faces a Class A misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
