Next chapter in Star Wars saga hits theaters December 15

SAN ANTONIO – "Star Wars" fans, start your engines!

After months of waiting, the trailer for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" dropped Friday morning during an event celebrating Star Wars' 40th anniversary.

Attendees at Star Wars Celebration were treated to that and more in Orlando, Florida, during the four-day fan event inspired by Lucas' space saga.

"The Last Jedi" picks up where 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" left off, following the meeting of Luke Skywalker and Rey.

It also marks the continuation of Finn and Poe's journeys, and the the transformation of Han Solo and Princess Leia's son Kylo Ren, who is strong with the dark side of the Force.
