SAN ANTONIO – Police in Corpus Christi found the body of an elderly grandmother, dismembered and buried in a shallow grave in her backyard.
The woman's son, who lives in San Antonio, called Corpus Christi Police on Monday, after he had not heard from his mother and became worried.

The woman, identified as Johanna Christy, 77 lived at her home with her adult grandson, who took off running when police came to the home.
David Christy, 27, was arrested for evading and resisting arrest, as well as assault on a public servant, but has not been charged in his grandmother's death.
At this time, police are still investigating whether he had any involvement, and on Tuesday, went back to the home to look over the scene.
The Christy family owns a medical billing company in San Antonio.
