Man arrested after stolen class rings, other items found inside home

Rudy Rodriguez, 39, was charged with two counts of theft after San Antonio police found stolen goods, including two class rings, inside his home.

SAN ANTONIO – A West Side resident is facing theft charges after San Antonio police allegedly found stolen goods, including two class rings, inside his home.

Rudy Rodriguez, 39, was arrested Wednesday on two counts of theft.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that police discovered the items after serving a search warrant at his home in the 800 block of SW 36th Street in early September.  

Among the items they recovered was a class ring from The Citadel, valued at more than $1,500, and a ring from UTSA, the affidavit stated.

Police said Rodriguez told them he got the items from some of his customers, and that they told him they were stolen, the affidavit stated.

Rodriguez told police he accepted the stolen goods in exchange for cash and drugs, the affidavit stated.
