Cold front sweeps into San Antonio; Hill Country sees temperatures in 30s

Freeze Warning in effect for Hill Country until 9 a.m. Wednesday

San Antonians woke up to temperatures in the mid to upper 30s Wednesday morning as a cold front swept into the area late Tuesday night.

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage expects clear skies all day Wednesday with a high of 55. Temperatures Wednesday evening into Thursday morning are expected to drop again to the mid 30s, just above freezing.

Temperatures north of San Antonio already dipped below freezing Wednesday morning.

A freeze warning remained in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday for the Texas Hill Country and northeastern portions of South Central Texas.

According to the National Weather Service, another freeze warning may be necessary across areas which did not reach freezing Wednesday morning.
