Overnight park stabbing sends homeless man to hospital
Suspect admits crime to gas station clerk
Police responded to a report of a stabbing early Sunday morning at Phil Hardberger Park.
They say two homeless men living in the park got into an argument around 5 a.m.
One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the other in the back and chest, police said.
The suspect ran to a nearby gas station where he reportedly admitted to the clerk that he stabbed someone.
Police said the suspect is now in custody.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The stabbing happened just hours after a separate stabbing in the 2200 block of Chihuahua Street.
