BCSO: Man with gun at courthouse was meeting estranged wife

Hyonbo Ko arrested with loaded gun at Cadena Reeves Justice Center

A man was arrested Monday for trying to take a gun into the Cadena Reeves Justice Center.

That suspect was identified in court documents as 41-year-old Hyonbo Ko.

Ko was arrested by deputies Monday morning at the Cadena Reeves Justice Center, where investigators said he tried to enter the courthouse with a loaded handgun.

He was at the courthouse for a scheduled court proceeding with his estranged wife.

According to the court records, Ko had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. One for making a terroristic threat and another for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The warrant for the assault case states Ko and his wife got into an argument Friday when he was picking up his kids for a weekend visit.

As his wife was strapping one of the kids into a car seat, the warrant states Ko slammed the car into reverse and attempted to drag his wife, but stopped the vehicle before running her over.

Then on Sunday, the couple got into another altercation and Ko allegedly threatened to hurt his wife.

Ko is being held in the Bexar County Jail without bond and is facing three charges.
