2 wounded in drive-by shooting knock on doors for help

Shooter believed to be in white Ford F-150 pickup

Two men wounded in a drive-by shooting on San Antonio's East side ended up on two different doorsteps looking for help.

Police and paramedics were called to two different addresses on Dawson Street shortly before 2 a.m. Friday and found the victims, who were in their 20s.

One of the victims was found in the 1700 block of Dawson and the other was found at a home a block away.

Police said one man was shot in the back and shoulder and the other was hit in the back and leg.

The victims had been in a car and crashed into two parked cars after they were shot, police said.

Officers found that car near Dawson and Lockhart streets.

The shooter got away in a truck described as a white Ford F-150 pickup.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
