SAN ANTONIO – On Sunday, San Antonio's Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller will celebrate his 30th year of priesthood.
He celebrated with pastoral center employees Friday.
Garcia-Siller is said to be on a short list of candidates to replace Cardinal Francis George, the archbishop of Chicago, who is being treated for cancer.
It has been reported that the Vatican has begun the search for his successor.
The process is expected to take about six months with the replacement to be announced between November and January of next year.
