Man arrested in January shooting

David Davalos, 24, fired at 3 people Jan. 3

SAN ANTONIO – A 24-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting that took place at the beginning of the year.

David Davalos was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on the city's East Side.

Police said Davalos was wanted for shooting at three people at a home on Muncey Street Jan. 3.

One person was hit in the back and taken to the hospital, but did survive and is recovering.

Police said Davalos and the victim got into an argument on New Year's Eve. Davalos returned a few days later and opened fire.

"I want to point out that there were two small children in this residence at the time he was firing off several rounds. Thankfully, none of those children were hurt," said San Antonio Police Department Officer Douglas Greene.

Davalos is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
