SAN ANTONIO – A suspect identified as Joe Cervantes, 43, has been arrested in connection with the theft of nearly $8,000 worth of tires from his employer, a Northeast Side tire shop.
An arrest affidavit stated that Cervantes worked for Lonestar Tire Services, and on several occasions wrote up orders for tires.
However, the tires were never delivered to any customers and the tire shop never received any money for the tires, the affidavit stated.
The missing tires were worth more than $7,900, the affidavit stated. Cervantes was arrested Monday on a charge of theft.
