Police search for group linked to two home invasions

Both robberies reported within 15-minute period

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for a group of people whom they believe are responsible for two home invasions.

The crime spree began before 10 p.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 11800 block of Belair Drive.

A man told police that he heard a knock on the door, opened it and found two men with guns, who forced their way inside his home. He said they robbed him of his wallet, cash and cellphone and left.

About 15 minutes later, a family was robbed at a nearby apartment in the 1300 block of Patricia Drive, police said.

The victims told police that a group of men also barged into their home after knocking on the door. The robbers hit the man who answered the door, and his girlfriend and two children were also there, police said.

The robbers took off with a TV, a video game system and other electronics, officers said.

Someone was able to provide police with a description of the getaway car and a license plate number, investigators said.
