BEXAR COUNTY – Investigators said a sleeping driver left the road and slammed into two people Sunday afternoon in Southwest Bexar County.
The man crashed into the two working alongside the road in the 17400 block of Kinney Rd. around 2 p.m.

Deputies say the man also hit a trailer, then got out of the crashed car and ran leaving the two injured people behind.
Emergency crews transported the victims to University Hospital. One had a broken leg, and the other had unknown injuries.
After the crash deputies and a helicopter searched for the driver, but could not find him.
