Fugitive wanted since Oct. 2014 arrested on SA's West Side

Robert Villapando, 42, charged with continuous sex abuse of child

SAN ANTONIO – One week after he was featured as a fugitive on KSAT-12, a wanted man was behind bars. His arrest ends an 18-month long search.

Robert Villapando, 42, was arrested Tuesday morning at a home on the 400 blk. of Carroll St. (SEE BOOKING PHOTO BELOW) The US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force received a tip Villapando was staying there after seeing a story about him on KSAT-12.

Villapando has been wanted since Oct. 2014 on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

Bexar County Magistrate records show bond on that charge was set at $75,000. Villapando was also being held without bond on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
