COMAL COUNTY, Texas – A missing senior alert has been issued for an 88-year-old woman diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.
The Comal County Sheriff's Office is searching for Ruth Mims, who was last seen at 11 a.m. Thursday in Canyon Lake, Texas.

Authorities said law enforcement officials believe Mims' disappearance poses a credible threat to her own health and safety.
Mims is described by authorities as being 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 153 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes, and has a surgical scar on her back. Authorities said she was driving a light blue 2006 Lincoln Town Car with Texas license plate 2HYVV.
